The Labor Day parade and Bicentennial Festival is Monday, 9/7. Below I have attached a timeline of events for the day. Due to this year's bicentennial celebration some of the details have changed so please read carefully!
8:30AM - Report to PHSC (wear summer uniforms)
9:00AM - Rehearsal with North for Central vs. North FB game. (on 10/2)
9:45AM - Water and Line-up for Parade
10:00 - Parade steps-off
11:30ish- Performance at the Lion's Club Fish Fry in Victory Park
The location of this performance has changed for the bicentennial.
Both bands will set up on the "hill" located just off of Lockville Road
in Victory Park. Lockville Rd will be closed from Columbus St to
12:15ish- Students will be dismissed for the day.
I will have the band room open for 45 minutes after students are dismissed.
It is important to note all of the times are subject to change. Given the addition of several bicentennial related events it is impossible to accurately predict the timeline for the entire morning. Be flexible, enjoy the parade and watching your child do what they love.
I wanted to take a moment to give some last minute detail/timeline about tonight's Dinner and Preview.
5:00 - Band room open for instrument pick-up
5:30 - Dinner service begins
6:00 - Band room closed
7:00 - Students report to Tiger Stadium
7:30 - Dinner service ends
8:00 - Preview show begins
The Show will last approximately 30+ minutes. We will demonstrate our "fun"damental block, 2 pregame and 2 half time runs.
Because we are doing our preview show a little over a month earlier than last year we will present our show in summer uniforms. Students are encouraged to bring a light jacket or hoodie for the 7:00 rehearsal. (just don't forget them afterward)

Tonight's Practice, Open House & Freshman Orientation:
The first day of school is near and I wanted to share our plan of attack for all of the additional events taking place tonight. In addition to band rehearsal from 6 - 9, there is open house and freshman orientation. I was well aware of open house however the freshman orientation took me by surprise!
Below is an admin approved schedule for tonight's activities.
5 - 6 Band Students participate in open house
6 - 6:50 Full Band on Practice field. (we will start outside, not inside)
7 - 8 Freshman report to PAC until the conclusion of orientation. 10-12 grade: music rehearsal
in band room.
8 - 9 Full Band on Practice field
Tag day is this Saturday! Please wear your summer uniform shirt and jeans/jean shorts. Students must report to the PAC by 9:00 am. Staff will meet prior to the students at 8:30 before the student tag day training.
Pay to Participate:
PTP is due by this Friday, August 14th. Please see handbook for payment options regarding who to make checks out to, and partial payment dates etc.

The 2015 Fall Marching Band Schedule has been updated and attached.
The home football game on 8/21 against Olentangy is a scrimmage game. The band does however have full band practice from 2:30pm - 4:30pm
Join us for a band parent meeting, Dates, Details, and Desserts on Thursday, June 25th at 7:00pm in the PHSC Commons. Mr. Stowe and members of the band booster board will be on hand to discuss band camp and distribute band camp information packets including registration and emergency medical forms. Parents will receive instructions for using CHARMS to make payments and view student accounts, as well as directions for volunteering via SignUp Genius. Mr. Stowe will also be updating parents on band events for the fall. Please join us to have your questions answered, your calendar clarified, and a sweet treat on a hot summer evening!
