Michael Sewell retired May 2015 as the Director of Bands at Pickerington High School since 1981, where he served as the director of the marching band, chamber winds, pep bands, jazz bands, and musical orchestra. He graduated from Whitehall Yearling High School in 1975, and received his BME (with honors) in 1979 from Otterbein College in Westerville, Ohio. After serving as Head Band Director in the Crooksville Exempted School District for two years, Mr. Sewell accepted the position of Director of Bands at Pickerington. Mr. Sewell received his MME from The Florida State University in 1985, where he assisted the award-winning Marching Chiefs. Mr. Sewell was inducted into the Whitehall Yearling High School Hall of Fame in 1993 for his accomplishments in music and the community, and in May 2000 he was named Pickerington High School's Teacher of the Year and the Pickerington School District's Teacher of the Year. In his spare time, Mr. Sewell coaches 7th grade basketball, and has assisted with Varsity and 7th grade baseball. He is a member of OMEA, Kappa Kappa Psi and Tau Beta Sigma Honoraries and Torch and Key. Mr. Sewell and his wife Karen have four children: Daniel, Alyson, Andrew, and Lea Hope.

Rick Knapp is in his eighteenth year as an Assistant Director at Pickerington. Mr. Knapp has served in the past as Pickerington Music Booster President and Band Festival Chairperson. He is currently involved with drill, sound, special effects, and logistics of the bands. He also has been teaching and directing hand bells at Peace United Methodist Church in Pickerington for the past 23 years to youth and adults. Mr. Knapp plays baritone in ensembles and in annual Merry Tuba Christmas performances. His full-time job is the Payroll and Benefits Coordinator for the Pickerington Local School District.

Ron McClelland has been with the Pickerington School district since 1983. Mr. McCleeand returns to Pickerington Central after nearly 30 years of teaching at Junior High and Middle School Band and Music. He is a 1975 graduate of Springfield South High School and a1979 graduate of Otterbein College where he completed his BME in Music Education. He also has his MAE from Otterbein as well as leadership certification courses from Ashland University. His major instrument is percussion.
In his spare time he is a frequent adjudicator in OMEA Marching Band competitions as well as an agility trial judge for the American Kennel Club. He and his wife Cecilia reside in Baltimore with their Australian Shepherds.
